Thomas Seidenstein, Vice President for Strategy and Policy Research, Fannie Mae
Tom Seidenstein is Vice President for Strategy and Policy Research at Fannie Mae. In that role, Mr. Seidenstein leads Fannie Mae’s corporate strategy group that includes an Enterprise Innovation Team. That team supports Fannie Mae’s innovation efforts, including pilots with the startup community. Prior to joining Fannie Mae in January 2012, he served as the Chief Operating Officer at the IFRS Foundation, the London-based body responsible for developing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs). During his time at the IFRS Foundation (September 2000-December 2011), Mr. Seidenstein was responsible for the IFRS Foundation’s public policy activities, corporate strategy functions, relationships with public and other regulatory bodies, general governance activities, operations, finance, and administration. Mr. Seidenstein received a Master’s degree in public policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and an undergraduate degree (cum laude) from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
